Pyramid is a close quarters ball game played on a pyramid-shaped court, hence the name of the game. The objective is apparently to score points by getting the ball into a goal at the top of the pyramid. Pyramid can be played one-on-one or in teams.
The size of the card is roughly the same as a deck of playing card trimmed down in size for pyramid variation. It should of been at least 15% to 20% bigger to be worth the price. It is decently made and cut good. The thickness is like a regular poker card and similar gloss (needs better glossiness). The color print on each side was okay too.
Pyramid (Battlestar Galactica) is a card game based on the 1970s television series "Battlestar Galactica". It was depicted as leisure activity for the characters in the television show. Later on, rules and decks of pyramid playing cards were made available commercially to fans of the show. Both are currently out of print.

It's the poker-like game in the original Battlestar Galactica TV series (1978-1979) that was renamed "Triad" in the re-imagined series (2004-2009). You may also recall that the original Battlestar featured a contact sport with elements of football and basketball called Triad that was renamed "Pyramid" in the newer series. So each game shares.
The game is Pyramid, a card game introduced in the original Battlestar Galactica series created by Glen Larson back in 1978. If you’re more familiar with the 2004 Ron Moore reboot, in that series it went by the handle of “Triad.”
In the Original Series, the card game was called "Pyramid" and the sport was called "Triad". "Ronald D. Moore has admitted to getting the two confused, accidentally switching the names of the sport and the card game." Cultural References Edit. Olympos; Centaur; See Also Edit. Full contact is allowed when the ball is not in a neutral zoneand once a player has been tackled, they must pass the ball.
How this is handled in one-on-one games is left unspecified.
The game is won by the team with the most points at the end.
However, under what circumstances the games ends is also left unspecified.
There are versions of pyramid for one, three or five players from each team on the court at once.
The play area is consistently referred to as an "arena" and the corner with the goal as the "head".

The ball is cantaloupe-sized, about the same size as a soccer mini ball.
The ball's size, combined with the cupped structure of the goal mean that outside towards the side-lines shots are quite a bit more difficult than inside towards the center of the arena shots.
However, the more inside a player gets, the more likely the defensive play.
This defensiveness is why pyramid is so physical: battling over the good shooting space directly in front of the goal.
Teams For purposes of clarity, this section is split up into pre- and post.
This is due to the fact that some teams may not have survived beyond the end of the Armistice, given the scope and depth of the Cylon War and its affect on all aspects of Colonial civilization.
